It’s the 21st century and the pace at which internet users has grown in is just humongous. There are approximately 900+ e-commerce websites active in India. This number goes on increasing every day.
About 70% of India’s internet users make an online transaction on these websites. You can’t even estimate the number of transactions done per day. These transactions are not online limited to online shopping.
People send money to their friends/family through different types of online services, whether it is wallets, UPI, NEFT, IMPS, Net Banking, etc. not have you ever wondered about the safety while doing such online transactions. Especially these transactions increased post demonetization.
Have you ever been through a situation where you make an online payment and the transaction fails but the money still gets debited from our account? You obviously panic, though the money is refunded in next 24 hrs.
But still, you have that panic in your mind that your money might be lost!!
Now imagine if your login credentials are compromised by the hackers and your bank account gets hacked. You can obviously imagine this horrible sight.
Then the question is how are this much amount of transactions safe? Obviously, they are! They are secured via a secure tunnel that is established between your browser and the server.
This secure connection is established using an SSL Certificate. All your online transactions are secured by these SSL Certificates which restrict hackers from compromising your credentials.
